Born the second daughter of four children in a lower class family, Janet was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. At age seventeen, Janet was the last of her family to leave the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization. As with many members of this association, upon leaving the organization her family abandoned any idea of God or religion. Janet knew that she needed God but spent a year or so very confused as to who God was and how she was suppose to live her life. After an evening of soul searching and questioning God Janet was drawn to a local church and experienced God’s gift of salvation in her life in 1996. Her spiritual journey includes the devastation of banishment from her life long religion and the ridicule of some of her family and close friends as well as the triumph of God’s blessing on her life with a strong church home, faithful husband and the rewards of raising two beautiful daughters. Janet’s testimony is both a personal and powerful witness to God’s unfailing grace and love.
